Terms of Service
Last updated: September 1, 2026
1. Scope #
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Heiryn Discord bot ("Bot").
By using the Bot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Bot.
2. Operator and Contact #
The Bot is operated by Dylan Ysmal ("Xenthys", "we", "us", "our").
Contact:
- Discord: https://heiryn.dis.gg/support
- Email: Show contact email
- Mail: Xenthys, 58 Rue de Monceau (CS 48756), 75008 Paris, France
Support requests are handled through Discord. The email and mail addresses are for inquiries involving the operator directly.
3. Service Description #
Heiryn is a Discord bot that provides AI-powered conversations and server moderation tools.
The Bot:
- is not a Discord replacement,
- does not provide legal, compliance, or security guarantees for your own usage,
- may enforce access restrictions and reject interactions based on configured policies.
4. Eligibility #
The Bot is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age, in accordance with the Discord Terms of Service.
If you are a minor in your jurisdiction (generally under 18), you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Bot.
You are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful in your jurisdiction.
5. Compliance #
You must comply with:
- applicable laws and regulations,
- Discord Terms of Service and Developer Terms,
- these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use #
You must not use the Bot to:
- violate laws or third-party rights,
- bypass or attempt to bypass safety controls,
- abuse, harass, or target individuals,
- generate prohibited or harmful content,
- exfiltrate data you are not authorized to access.
You are responsible for all interactions made using your account.
7. AI-Generated Content #
The Bot uses third-party AI models to generate responses. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate despite safety measures.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated content. You are responsible for how you use or act on it.
8. Model Aliases, Categories, and Pricing #
Model aliases are service-level selectors, not promises of access to a particular AI model, model ID, version, provider, release, or vendor family. The model behind an alias may be updated without changing your saved setting. For a regular chat alias, a replacement must remain within the target category described in the Models documentation, including both of that category's published standard text-token price ceilings at the time the mapping is updated. Experimental aliases may have no fixed price ceiling.
Category ceilings classify base uncached text input and output rates, and requests are only routed to providers whose per-token rates fit them. They are not quotes, spending limits, or guarantees of the total price of a request. Separate charges may apply for reasoning, cache operations, long-context tiers, images, audio, video, searches, tools, requests, provider routing, credit purchases, taxes, or other third-party fees. If you use your own API key, you are responsible for all charges imposed by its provider.
Catalog names and model IDs describe current mappings only. Raw model IDs set by an operator remain subject to third-party availability, pricing, routing, policy changes, and retirement.
9. API Keys and Security #
If you provide API keys through the Bring Your Own Key feature, you are responsible for protecting those credentials.
Keys are encrypted at rest, but you remain responsible for rotating or revoking compromised credentials. If you suspect a security issue, rotate your credentials immediately.
10. Third-Party Services #
The Bot depends on third-party AI providers and the Discord API. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, rate limits, or data handling.
When you use the AI feature, your messages are sent to a third-party provider for processing. Review the Privacy Policy for details on which providers are used.
The free model is offered as is, without an API key, within usage limits that may change. Free providers log prompts and responses for analysis and model training. By accepting the free model terms, you agree that your free model requests, and the conversation history sent with them, may be logged and used this way.
As the owner of a community API key, you are responsible for the charges it incurs, including for the server chat model you or other server admins choose within its maximum model category.
11. Availability and Changes #
The Bot is provided on a best-effort basis. No service level agreement (SLA) is promised.
We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue the Bot at any time. Where practical, we will try to provide notice.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Bot after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Data and Privacy #
Our data handling practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
By using the Bot, you acknowledge and agree to that policy.
13. Intellectual Property #
The Bot, its branding, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No rights are granted except the limited right to use the Bot under these Terms.
14. Disclaimer #
The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise the Bot will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every use case.
Nothing in this section excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
15. Limitation of Liability #
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE BOT.
If liability is imposed despite the above, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Bot during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Indemnification #
You agree to defend and indemnify us for claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal expenses arising from:
- your use of the Bot,
- your violation of these Terms,
- your violation of law or third-party rights.
17. Governing Law #
These Terms are governed by the laws of France.
Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Paris, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in your jurisdiction.
18. Dispute Resolution #
Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days through written notice.
19. Termination #
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Bot at any time, with or without notice, especially in case of abuse, security risk, or legal non-compliance.
20. Miscellaneous #
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Bot.
