Dashboard
Heiryn includes a web dashboard that lets you manage your personal settings and the settings of servers you help run, all without typing slash commands.
Signing In #
Visit https://heiryn.dis.gg/dashboard and sign in with your Discord account. The dashboard uses Discord OAuth2 and requests access to your identity and server list.
Your session lasts 7 days of inactivity and is bound to your browser and country for security. If you switch browsers, upgrade to a very different version, or travel to a different country, you may need to sign in again.
The dashboard works on desktop and mobile, and keeps most pages in sync with live updates while you have them open. Changes you or another admin make in one place (command, another browser tab, another device) show up without a manual refresh.
Account #
The account page shows your personal settings, usage statistics, and active sessions.
Personal Settings #
- AI access: opt out of the AI feature for your account or opt back in later. While you are opted out, nobody can use Ask interactions on your messages.
- Personal custom instructions: define behavior, tone, language, formatting, role-play style, terminology, and other preferences for your chat requests. An explicit request can override them; community instructions take priority in servers, and fixed system rules remain protected.
- Chat model: pick a preferred model from the available tiers.
- Image generation: choose an image provider and model (requires an API key for that provider). Without a personal selection, the server selection is used; if neither exists, image generation is disabled.
- Voice transcription: choose an explicit speech-to-text provider and model, or leave Auto enabled to prefer ElevenLabs and use OpenRouter when no ElevenLabs credential is available.
- API keys: set or remove keys for the AI providers available to you. Keys are encrypted at rest and never displayed again after they are set. Opting out of the AI feature automatically removes your personal AI API keys.
- Ping on context menu replies: toggle whether Heiryn mentions you when it answers an Ask interaction on your own message.
Usage Statistics #
Your total query and image generation counts are shown at the top of the account page and update in real time as you use the bot.
Active Sessions #
View your active dashboard sessions with device, browser, location, and creation time. You can revoke any session other than the one you are currently using.
Servers #
The servers page lists every Discord server you share with the dashboard, grouped by your permission level:
- Owner: servers you own.
- Admin: servers where you have the Administrator permission.
- Manager: servers where you have the Manage Server permission.
- Member: servers where you have no management permissions (view only, cannot edit settings).
A green Bot badge marks servers where Heiryn is present. A grey No bot badge marks servers without the bot.
Only servers where you have at least the Manage Server permission can be configured through the dashboard. The server list is cached for a short time, and you can refresh it manually if you just joined a new server.
Community Settings #
For servers you manage, the server page groups every setting under tabs.
Settings #
- Community custom instructions: rules the AI follows for every chat request in your community, including behavior, tone, language, formatting, role-play style, terminology, and local conventions (up to 4096 characters). They take priority over personal instructions and ordinary requester input but cannot override fixed system rules.
- Default chat model: the model used for queries in the server. If no custom model is set, Auto mode starts on GLM 5.3 Flash and may switch to Claude Haiku 5.5. Users can override it with their personal preference.
- Image generation: explicit image provider and model for the server. With no selection, image generation is disabled for members who do not have a personal selection.
- Voice transcription: explicit community provider and model, or Auto. Explicit selections never switch providers after an API error.
- Public AI channels: choose which text, voice, announcement, stage, and forum channels everyone may use the AI in. When the list is empty, nothing changes. When it is not, server staff can still use the AI anywhere; everyone else is limited to those channels. Add or remove channels in the chip field and click Save once to apply the full list. Channels that are not of a supported type or not found in the guild are ignored.
- Allow AI use in all threads: optional (same as
/ai_allow_threadsin Discord). The status line reflects the saved value; use the same Save as the channel list (one action for both). When this is on, members can use the AI in any thread. Heiryn may also start a public thread from a mention in a blocked text or announcement channel and continue there when permissions allow. - Report channel: a channel where AI safety reports are delivered. You can send a test report from the dashboard or clear the setting.
- Community API keys: server-wide API keys used when a member has no personal key set. When setting a key, you can also cap the maximum model size available to the server to help control costs.
Changes you make here go live immediately, and any other admin viewing the same server will see them update without refreshing.
Block List #
View and manage blocked users for the server. You can:
- Add a block by entering a user ID, optional reason, and an optional duration using the built-in picker.
- Remove any existing block.
- See who issued each block, when it expires, and the reason.
The list updates live when another admin adds or removes a block.
History #
View channels that currently have an active AI conversation history in the server. For each channel you can:
- Open a readable transcript (Markdown-rendered, with role-colored mentions and proper link formatting).
- See when the history is set to expire.
- Clear the history for that channel.
When history is cleared through the dashboard, Heiryn also posts a short Discord message in the affected channel so regular members know the context was reset.
Security #
- Sessions are bound to your browser and country. Switching browsers or a significant country change will invalidate the session.
- Every write action is protected by a CSRF token, and a per-account rate limit protects against bursts of accidental writes.
- API keys are encrypted at rest and never displayed again.
- Conversation history is encrypted at rest.
- The dashboard respects the same permission model as the bot's slash commands: if you cannot change a setting from Discord, you cannot change it from the dashboard either.
